Pena Blanc

Located between Sun Valley Cottage and the heart of the community on the Mon Bleu/Paria Road, Pena Blanc is a four-bedroom house with a splendid view of the valley below. It also has a simple kitchen, a roomy living/dining room, one shower, three toilets and two sinks. Each room has a double bed. A wonderful aspect to this home is that part of the roof may be removed as it used to be used as a cocoa house, don't worry this does not expose the room below to the elements as the room is still covered by a strong wooden roof. The removed roof offers an excellent place for stargazing, birding, relaxing, reading or eating Bar B Que.
Fidelis Metivier and his family own Pena Blanc from which they moved to Arima, as did the Roses. Due to its elevation and location for much of the year there is a constant and sometimes strong breeze through the house, which makes staying awake a loosing battle for many. The Metivier family, from the youngest to the eldest, will often drop in to see how things are going, while bringing meals hot off the fire and general good cheer. Simple and full meal plans are available and it is also a great place to cook on your own.
Early morning and late afternoon strolls up the hill offer excellent birding opportunities and is a wonderful way to relax while passing the time. The open areas at times provide superb views of birds of prey.
