Rosa's Cottage

Rosa offers a fully renovated room in her home, which is located on the outskirts of the community
and is backed by the Aripo Mountain Range. This makes it a great location to relax and get away from it all.
Rosa is very attentive to her garden of orchids, hibiscuses and many other flowering and fruiting plants,
from which many hummingbirds, honeycreepers, bannaquits and other birds regularly come to reap the spoils.
Together with Rupert, her husband, and other family members they take care of her small agricultural plot up
the hill from the house. Upon arrival Rosa will give you a warm welcome and will show you around her garden.

The room offers a comfortable double bed, with cupboard, a dressing table and a dedicated bathroom
with hot and cold water. Rosa offers full meal plans or breakfast and dinner. She definitely is the
queen of her kitchen and can whip up many a local culinary delight.

Staying at Rosa's is your chance to experience real community life. Imagine eating a nice hot local
dinner with Rosa and Rupert while having an enjoyable conversation about community life.

The road that passes Rosa's house quickly becomes a mountain trail switch backing its way up the steep slopes.
It offers excellent mountain biking; where getting down the hill takes about one-tenth the time it does
getting up the hill! A stroll up this trail also offers excellent birding and relaxation. The further
up one gets the denser and more pristine the rainforest becomes. Certain spots higher up the trail provide
panoramic views of the valley below.
