Madamas road to waterfalls

Spend the day or half a day strolling along the Madamas road. The vehicle can take you most of the way to the Madamas Waterfalls. This is a dirt road that passes through estates and forest near to Paria Springs. Along the way you will see many wonderful butterflies and forest birds, such as Euphonias, Golden-crowned Warblers, Turquoise, Silver-beaked and other Tanagers, Honeycreepers, or if you are lucky you may see a Piping Guan. Take a swim in the pool at the base of the gorgeous seventy foot Madamas Waterfalls to refresh you. All along the way you will learn about the natural and human history of the area.
